About Us

You may have driven by our building, read our sign, heard about us from a friend, or maybe you just found us on the internet, but do you know who we are? We would like to share some thing about who we are.

Bible Believing and Living Church
We believe that the 66 books of the Holy Bible are inspired by God and give us everything we need to worship and serve him correctly. We also believe that we must live the words of the Bible seeking to be Christ-like. (II Timothy 3:16)

Bible Classes for All Ages
We have relevant Bible classes for all ages on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening and at other specified times.

Our worship is simple and spiritual. We sing without the aid of instrumental music (Ephesians 5:19). We partake of the Lord’s Supper each first day of the week (Acts 20:17). An opportunity is provided to give monetarily to the Lord (II Corinthianss 9:7). No other method of fundraising is used.

Mission Work
We believe that God’s command to “go ye into all the world and preach the gospel” (Matthew 16:15) is as valid today as it was when it was written in the first century. To that end we support mission work in India and Russia regularly, and other places on an as needed basis. We support Gospel Broadcast Network and In Search of the Lord’s Way with Mack Lyon in their effort to evangelize via television. We also assist young men training for the ministry.

Assistance to Needy
The Bible teaches that we must “do good unto all men” (Galations 6:10). We have a food pantry available free of charge to help our neighbors in need. We attempt to meet the needs of our members and of the community whenever possible. We regularly support Raintree Village Children’s Home in Valdosta, GA as well as “adopting” children from there at Christmas. We support crisis assistance throughout the nation through Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc..

Bible Camp
We believe in the importance of teaching young people to love the Lord and his church. We support North Georgia Bible Camp – Camp Wetoga. Four week long sessions of camp are available each summer for ages 8 through high school to learn about God’s plan for their life while they have fun with like minded young

Fellowship Opportunities
A casual reading of the Book of Acts reveals that the church in the first century was continually involved in each other’s lives. We have numerous fellowship opportunities to follow their example:
* First Sunday fellowship lunch
* Third Sunday evening devotional and refreshments
* Annual Fish Fry
* Special events

We’re Growing
We have purchased land on Hwy 68 for a new building. The loan was recently paid off and we are excited about moving forward with the building soon.
